Vice President | Economist

Since 2008, Ryan Moseley, CFA has served on Moseley Investment Management’s investment committee. As our portfolio manager, he is head of the security selection process, financial planning, and determining financial strategies for all of our clients. Ryan and Laurie Tinnell run the option overlay and income strategies together. As our economist, Ryan provides research on individual companies as well as current economic and political events affecting market movements. 

Prior to becoming our economist, he worked as our accounting assistant while interning at the Cato Institute and attended George Mason University. While at Cato, he researched and wrote on Federal Reserve policy, worked on government and legislative transparency, and presented to members of Congress and their staff.

Ryan achieved a Master’s in Applied Economic Theory from George Mason University, where his core education covered monetary policy, public choice, and econometrics. During his undergraduate career, he attended the University of Florida where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010 with a BA in Economics.

Ryan Moseley is a CFA Charterholder and has obtained his series 65 registration.

Currently, Ryan is a member of the Bayside Community Church "BayPro" Team, which is a group of volunteers responsible for the technical aspects of Bayside's weekend services. He serves as a mentor with Bayside Church's "Financial Peace University" program. In Sarasota, Ryan is also a yearly volunteer for the Wine Women and Shoes Signature Luncheon, which benefits The Parenting Program of Forty Carrots Family Center. For 23 years, Forty Carrots has provided quality Parenting Education, Early Childhood Education and Child & Family Therapy. Over 90% of 3900 clients each year receive free services at 25 locations reaching children at the highest risk of abuse and neglect.
